Greetings Lipedema Sisters!
Eleven years ago I started eating LCHF because I knew it would help my fibromyalgia. Besides fibro pains, I also got rid of my IBS problems, high blood pressure, pre-diabetes and migraines, among other ailments. It was like getting my life back.
My LCHF has always been close to keto, but my weight has nevertheless gone up and down. Especially as I was heading for menopause - and at the same time got my lipedema confirmed.
However - with strict keto I'm now steadily losing weight, and will soon celebrate my first minus 25 kg/55 lbs. Lipedema pain has decreased and I'm even losing inches in areas I thought impossible because of this illness.
What you see here is my keto food. It is basic and uncomplicated, with few ingredients of good quality. If you're just starting out on your keto journey, wondering what to eat, maybe you can find some inspiration here. The idea of these recipes is not to be innovative or remarkable - they are just examples of how good and how simple it can be to eat ketogenic food.
(Note: Some cut out dairy on keto for lipedema. I don't. My focus is to choose organic as far as possible, it is better for the animals and the climate as well as the important omega 3/omega 6 balance in our bodies.)
